Andre Kosovskis (30) has now been living in the Netherlands for seven and a half years. The mechanic born in Latvia has now been employed at Farm Trans for almost a year. “Everything is well organised here. We are given the best tools and equipment to be able to do our work.”

 

Andre found Farm Trans through a job opening on the working-at-Farm-Trans website. “I completed a mechanic training course in Latvia and I have obtained various certificates in the Netherlands. I now have a great job at Farm Trans. Cars and technical work are two of Andre’s passions. He encounters these two aspects in his work here as well. But he also enjoys the variety and working in a team. “We work with all kinds of nationalities at the workshop. We speak Dutch and English at work, but you can also, for example, be shown the ropes here in Polish.”

 

In the months that Andre has been working at Farm Trans, he has performed all kinds of repairs. This ranges from construction work and chassis welding to replacing an entire discharge belt of a trailer hopper. “Every day brings new jobs, which keeps the work fun.”

 

Perseverance and stress-resistance are two qualities that serve Andre well in his work: “It’s busy sometimes and the jobs have to be finished, so a 9-to-5 mentality won’t work here, but at other moments there is always enough time to have a nice cup of coffee with the team.”
